About Shoreforge Games

Shoreforge Games is an independent game development studio based in New Plymouth, New Zealand.

Inspired by the rugged coastline and iron sand beaches of Taranaki, Shoreforge Games was founded on a passion for creating immersive worlds, meaningful player experiences, and games that encourage exploration, discovery, and community. The name “Shoreforge” reflects the meeting of sea and forge — the natural forces that shape both the landscape of our region and the creative process behind every game we build.

As an independent studio, we embrace the freedom to pursue ambitious ideas and create experiences driven by creativity rather than trends. We believe great games are built through passion, persistence, and a willingness to experiment with new technologies and new ways of bringing virtual worlds to life.

Our vision is to harness the opportunities presented by the next generation of technology, from advanced game engines and procedural world generation to artificial intelligence and emerging online experiences. We see this new era as an opportunity for smaller studios to create worlds and stories that were once only possible for the largest development teams.

Our debut title, Age of Corruption, represents that vision — a living fantasy world shaped by player choices, political intrigue, exploration, and the ever-changing balance of power.
